This year, more than most, we need inspiration for outdoor dining that's big on style and flavor, to boost both our mood and health. In the midst of the ongoing pandemic, the great outdoors seems to be the only sensible place to meet up with friends and family. So we created a feast of immunity-boosting dishes served in a way that doesn't compromise your indoor panache. For this elegant picnic, I set the table with a Petrol Green linen tablecloth - a wonderfully rich dark shade of green with a large dose of blue which worked so well with all the surrounding natural shades of green. I chose the Melita Aqua printed linen napkins to tone beautifully with the blue/green of the tablecloth and the bright whites of the plates and serving dishes. For the food we focused on easy-to-make immunity-boosting foods - hearty tomato and olive salad, cauliflower tabbouleh, hummus and pita, steamed artichokes, stuffed vine leaves and plenty of strawberries. The finishing touch - bright saturated magenta Calla Lillies in a handmade vase by my friend Liat Shore (and available in our San Marino shop). Cheers to a healthy summer of outdoor dining!
