Oval tablecloths are hard to find, but we will make you a tablecloth that will hang evenly all around any size and shape of table . Although oval dining tables are very common – and elegant – there are very few standard sizes or indeed standard oval shapes. We do stock five standard size oval tablecloths: 60×90, 67×104, 68×98, 74×116 & 80×122. And we custom make oval tablecloths in any shape and size, which take about two weeks – but well worth the wait to have the perfect Huddleson made to measure tablecloth.
There are two different kinds of oval – the ellipse and the racetrack.
An oval ellipse is like a squashed circle with a continuous curve. This is the shape of Saarinen Knoll tables and we do make standard size oval linen tablecloths to fit those (although not all of them!) To make a tablecloth for an ellipse table we just need to know the length and the width.
A racetrack oval is usually a square or rectangular center with semicircular ends. To make a tablecloth this shape we will need the measurement from the end of the table to the start of the square/rectangular section, the length of the square/rectangular section and the width.
