What size tablecloth do I need? Measure your table and add your preferred drop length to all sides.
How inches should a tablecloth hang over the side? Most people choose a drop of 6" to 12" on all sides of the table. A good guide is for the tablecloth to fall just above the seat of the dining chairs. For example a 42''x72'' rectangle table with a 12'' drop on all sides will require 66''x96'' tablecloth (42+12+12 and 72+12+12); a 60'' diameter round table with a 30'' drop to the floor (most tables are 30" high) will need a 120'' diameter round tablecloth. Table runners usually hang a little shorter than tablecloths - usually 6".
What size tablelcoth fits an oval table? We stock oval tablelcoths in five ellipse standard sizes that fit Saarinen Tulip tables. If your table is a capsule/racetrack oval we will make a custom size tablecloth with an even drop all around - we will need to know the diameter of the ends and the length of the straight center section.
