Have you made the trip to see our retail store and had the San Marino shopping experience? We are thrilled to be located on beautiful Mission Street, surrounded by over 35 independent boutiques offering friendly, personal service and a range of unexpected fashion, gifts and homewares, all just a few exits north of Downtown Los Angeles on the 110 freeway.
Consistently voted one of the most idyllic spots in Southern California, San Marino is a wonderful place to explore, dine, shop, or visit a salon and enjoy the wide tree-lined streets. Below I have given you a flavor of some of the San Marino shopping on Mission Street. For the full list of our neighbors visit The Shops At Mission Village website.
A good place to start is Julienne Fine Foods & Celebrations, located on the North-East End of the Street. A San Marino mainstay known throughout California, Julienne has a wonderful selection of homemade meals, expertly curated wines and exquisite pastries and desserts. Their marketplace is also a treasure trove of gifts – candles, fragrance, and tabletop – and their wonderfully friendly staff always make a visit a fun experience.
The newest store in the neighborhood is Hollis. This is their second location and it is located across from Julienne on the South side of Mission Street. Hollis is run by Rik Hollis, and sells fine antiques, traditional handmade furniture, and unique home accessories. The impeccable design and quality are well worth seeing.
A few doors down you will find Simply Fresh!, the cutest stationary shop that ever was. Located in a small bungalow, Simply Fresh! is packed with adorable gifts to treat yourself or your loved ones. Here you will find thoughtful stationary, greeting cards, coffee table books and mementoes all in a “good vibes”, Southern California style.
If you’re in the mood for pampering and luxury, head across Los Robles Ave to Mark Taylor Salon. Their stylists are known for exceptional service, style and expertise in hair, nail, skin and makeup.
There are a wide range of clothes shops on Mission to cater to a range of different tastes. From the ever popular Johnny Was offering airy, luxurious bohemian outfits perfect for elevating your work-from-home look or an entire wardrobe refresh to more formal collections at Serafina and Pearls there is something for every taste across a range of price points.
Single Stone is one of Los Angeles’ most exquisite jewelry shops. They make their own collections in Los Angeles and also stock a wide range of pieces from the world’s top jewelry designers. Their pieces span the range from fun and contemporary to some very serious stones!
How do you top browsing for stylish jewelry? I’d say with an armful of flowers! Our next-door neighbor In It’s Time Florals have the loveliest romantic bouquets – ready-to-go or made to order to your specifications, as well as a range of unique gifts that are sure to inspire and delight.
Past Euclid Street is Port O’Call, hard to miss with the bright red British phone booth outside! Port O’Call specializes in lovely home accessories, elegant gifts and fine stationary. I love perusing their unique tabletop, fine china and glassware.
Finally you’d be remiss to visit Mission Street without a stop at The CubHouse Bike Shop. Home to a full service bike shop, you can also shop apparel, plants and even grab a coffee at their stand. The CubHouse is a fun place to hang out, chat with their cool and knowledgeable staff.
We hope to see you soon on charming, friendly and unique Mission Street – schedule a San Marino shopping day now, you won’t be disappointed!
